The only working copy of Tiger I in the world (side number 131). This vehicle was captured by soldiers of the 48th Royal Tank Regiment (48 RTR, A Squadron, 4 Troop) at Djebel Djaffa on April 21, 1943 in the last month of the campaign in Tunisia (Africa). It is the first Tiger captured intact by British and American troops. It was brought to Tunisia by the Germans between March 22 and April 16, 1943 and put into battle with the 48th Royal Tank Regiment near Medjez-el-Bab on April 21, 1943. It destroyed two Churchilles, but a six-pounder shot damaged the turret and wounded the commander. The crew had to leave the tank to save lives. The defect is still visible in the yoke and front plates. Completely damaged elements were replaced with parts from other tanks. In October 1943 the vehicle was sent to England. The Tiger 131 can be seen at The Tank Museum in Bovington, UK. The Tiger I 131 model created entirely from COBI construction blocks was released in cooperation with the British Tank Museum in Bovington and faithfully reproduces the original vehicle that is the pride of the exhibition at this facility. Thanks to the great attention to recreating the silhouette and details of the tank, the set is ideally suited as a great souvenir, an element of the exhibition or collection of every teenage and adult history and military enthusiast. It uses numerous movable elements such as: opening hatches, rotating tower, vertically moving barrel, grenade launchers and spinning wheels with working caterpillars, which make it also a great toy for the youngest.
