COBI Historical Collection Cold War LIM-5 (MIG-17F) East Germany Air Force Plane
The Lim-5 fighter plane was a Soviet license Mikoyan MiG-17F built by the Polish aviation industry. The production of LIM aircraft resulted in a significant development of the aviation industry in Poland. The Lim-5 planes were equipped with the WK-1F engine, also produced under license. 120 Lim-5 and 40 Lim-5P aircraft were delivered to the German Democratic Republic. East German aviation ordered parts from Poland for the needs of repairs, modernization and modification of the aircraft, as well. LIM-5 served in the German Air Force from 1958 to 1985. The model aircraft LIM-5 (MIG-17F) was designed in a scale of 1:32 and consists of 575 high-quality elements. All markings, emblems and inscriptions on the model are prints that do not wear off during use. The set has movable elements such as wheels and an opening cabin in which you can place a great figure of a German pilot. The camouflage reproduced from blocks looks particularly beautiful. The set includes a display stand with a plate with the name of the set and the nationality mark. Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on clear illustrations the construction is simple. The plane is a must for all fans of aviation, military and military technology. It is also a perfect complement to the Armed Forces, Cold War and Korean War collections. In this series, we also released LIM-1 and LIM-5, MIG-15 planes in the Soviet version and the Czechoslovakian S-102 and MIG-17. The set was entirely manufactured in Poland in the European Union.
